I don't know the town, but her son Onofrio Savini married Chiara Sabatini who was born in Pianella in 1702.

I don't see any civil records or church records online for Pianella dated before 1809.

This person has done some genealogy research on Pianella. Maybe you can ask him.

That's a little bit embarrassing but it shows I'm a good researcher!

The Catasti are hand-written property records for tax declarations.

They are difficult to navigate and to read. They were recorded in certain years, ending round 1820, with some records dating back to the 16th century.

The older ones serve as a kind of census since they recorded the names of all household members, plus ages for males. Sometimes, the parents of the property owner was listed for identification.

It doesn't look like Catasti records are available from Family History Centers for your region. Even if they were you'd probably have to visit one of their centers in person.

You can check availability at familysearch.org. Search the catalogue for records in your area - Catasti would be called census or taxation. Registration is free.

This site has some information on the 174s Catasti for Abruzzo. Pianella is listed for 1748 (2 vols).

There are some surnames similar to yours listed under R. Might be worth searching all through this website.
