Last name for Filippa

Post by cj11788 »

Hello,

The below link and attachment is the 1574 Carini marriage for Domenico Maniaci from Calabria. His wife is Filippa but I can't figure out her last name. Is it there? If so what is it?

Thanks

Chris

I read "Filippa di la sala di partinico", so I'd say her surname was "Della Sala", unless there's a place named "Sala di Partinico" where she was from.

I don't know if this is what it refers to, but Sala di Partinico is a place in Sicily. It is the historic name for the town of Partinico, on the northwest coast of Sicily, just west of Palermo.
