Udine Death Record

Post by michaelhartman »

Hello everyone,

I'm having some trouble figuring out a relationship in this death record (no. 29, bottom of the page) from Buia, Udine (Link is to an online record at the Archivio di Stato di Udine): http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0.

So, we have Gio Battista, son of the deceased Zuanne (Gio) Cigainero, aged 26. Then appearing below to give testimony is Giuseppe son of Antonio Cigainero, aged 28, "Termano Paterno" or "Zermano Paterno" or ??? of the deceased Gio Battista. It is this phrase that I am stuck on. I know that in Spanish "Hermano Paterno" would be first cousin on the father's side. Could that be what this phrase is trying to convey?

Thanks!
