With Royal Decree dated 5 December 1897, Ciriaco Fiorito, aged 27, was authorized to change his surname from "Fiorito" to "De Vito" an annotation was added to his birth record (http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0)
