What do you do to protect the privacy and security of your DNA testing?

You have options as to what you share and what you don't. I have opted in to sharing everything because it helps with my research to discover where I'm related and to whom.

If you retain privacy, then you will get your info, but no one else will be able to see it or check relationships. Many people do that, and it's okay, but it frustrates people like me who are trying to make discoveries/connections. It's all a matter of personal preference & what you want to get out of it.

I also uploaded my raw DNA to many other matrices for comparison purposes & to reinforce the findings...

No concerns about the company sharing/**SPAM** information or allowing access, or about abetting identity theft, etc.?

There are NO guarantees in life. I have not heard of any widespread fraud or ID theft from DNA testing. But of course anything is possible.

I suppose it boils down to how badly you want the information.
