Death of Giovanni Coari
I always wondered about the death of my Great Grandfather. Family lore says he died in a cheese factory. I finally found the death certificate, but I can't read a word of it. Please help!
Re: Death of Giovanni Coari
The document posted is not a death certificate.
It's a true copy of the Birth record of Agnese Rita Petronilla COARI, born on Jan. 26th 1890 in Santo Stefano d'Aveto (GE), daughter of Giuseppe and Giacinta COLLA.

I believe your Giovanni Coari's death record is here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1494915
Giovanni Coari died 27 Feb 1890, in Villa Noce #10, a hamlet of Santo Stefano d'Aveto.
He was a farmer, 30yo, son of Luigi and Maria Angela Brizzolara, and he was the husband of Assunta Baldinelli.

OMG! Thank you so much. This is so helpful. May I ask, does it say anything about the circumstances of his death? He was so young and my great grandmother was only about 6 months old. Thank you again. Leeliviomoreno wrote: 10 May 2021, 08:23 I believe your Giovanni Coari's death record is here: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... at=1494915

Re: Death of Giovanni Coari
One more dumb question please. Would I assume that Brizzolara is his mother's maiden name and Luigi is Luigi Coari, or is Brizzolara the married name and perhaps that is is step father?

Brizzolara is the maiden name of Naria Angela. Wives in Italy keep their maiden name.

Re: Death of Giovanni Coari
Cause of death is not normally on a death act. That said, it indicates that he died at his home at #10 Via Villa Noce. You indicated that family lore says he died in a cheese factory. Certainly he might have been injured elsewhere and died at home.leecann62@gmail.com wrote: 10 May 2021, 15:01OMG! Thank you so much. This is so helpful. There's an outside chance that there's a death or burial record at his church which might list cause of death.
Also, can you locate the cheese factory in his town?
