It's not easy form me to translate, because I don't know the exact words for some military terms, but I try to give you a summary.
The certificate was issued by the First Division, Third Company, of the Public Security Guards (i.e. what today is the Police).
It states that Giovanni D'Ambrosio was definitely discharged, after the end of his commitment.
He was a second class guard, listed at #25172.
He was the son of deceased Carmine, and Angela Vellica, born in Scafati on May 17th, 1817.
He was 5.2.11 tall (we'd have to check the measure units of that time in the Kingdom of Two Sicilies), regular face and forehead, blue eye, regular nose and mouth, blond hair and eyelashes.
He was admitted in the Gendarmeria on Aug 11th, 1842, as a substitute of the recruit Antonio Flonga.
On Apr 1st, 1848, he passed on to the Carabinieri, and on Aug 1st, 1849 to the Public Security.
