confusion about marriage act

act #4

i am confused by this....specifically where the marriage took place.

someone suggested to me that it took place in ariano. if that is so, why would it be necessary for the father of the bride to provide a copy of the act? what am i missing ?

thanks so much for your efforts.

I didn't see an indication of the place of the marriage, but the certificate presented was written by a priest and refers to a religious marriage celebrated in a church, and the father of the bride asked the marriage to be registered as valid also for civil effects.
It is not indicated why the spouses married only in the church and I don't know if it was enough to do in this way to have also the civil effects (I don't know enough the law of that time).

The certificate presented should be in the Allegati of that year, but probably they will not be present in the collection on Antenati.
Perhaps the certificate was not copied all exactly and the place of the marriage was omitted.
A possibility could be that the marriage was celebrated abroad.
