On the link that you posted I can't find a link to access the census. Is it there and I'm just not seeing it?

Hi DeLisa,
I was just curious to know the whereabouts of my grandfather’s brothers and sisters at the time the census was taken. By 1930 my grandfather had already established residence in Puerto Rico and my great grandmother had died but my grandfather had three brothers and two sisters living in New York.

The last name is Di Cristina and their names were Giuseppe, Antonio ( Antonino ), Ignazio, Graziella and Giuseppina. One of the women was married to Michelle Megna. There is also Rocco Di Cristina ( my father’s cousin ) who may have already come to live in NYC from Palermo.

Any information you may find will be greatly appreciated.

best regards,
María

I was playing with the site a bit more and found if you click on the start searching and scroll down to continue. Click on that and then you can begin searching the 1930 census for free for 3 days.

You just need to create a user name and password. Don't go to the link where it says search for your ancestors or you'll end up on ancestry..

Hope this helps and let me know.

Lisa,
The Rocco I'm looking for was the son of Bartolo Di Cristina and Anna D'Angelo. Bartolo, Anna and daughter Sabina made the voyage from Palermo to the USA a couple of times to visit family and in one of these vists Rocco was born in NYC. I know that his wife's name was Maria but don't know her surname. She was from Naples.

Thank you for taking the time to do the search. I'm indebted to you.

Re Joseph/Giuseppe: I don't think there's a match. My grandfather was born in 1884 and he was the second to last of the eight children so all his siblings except one had to be born before 1884. Either Antonio or Ignazio was the youngest.
