The surname Apostolico is in Mercato San Severino effectively, but so far this town from Panni, but near Panni is San Severo, and in the old time was called Sancti Severini, because San Severo town have two Saints, both town's patrons, Saint Severino abbot the first and more older and Saint Severo bishop.... just the death record of your Apostolico can help you, because on the death record the birthplace is always specified and in italian language..

Thank you! Yes I was unsure which town it was. Both are possibilities but San Severo is much closer so probably more likely. Do you have any contact information for the church?

I am unable to email the archivio storico della diocesi di San Severo. The email will not send, it says there is an error. Is anyone that speaks Italian able to call the archive and ask about Carmine Apostolico, probably born around 1740? They are open Monday and Wednesday from 9 to 12. Numero: 0882 211626

I recently obtained this Catasto Onciario in The Casaleof Castelluccio near Lanzara from the parish. It lists a Carmine Apostolico as a son. I can’t decipher the entire page. Can someone translate the names and relationships /occupations? Also it mentions a Marco Apostolico a few times, does it say a relationship? Would someone be able to translate or provide all relevant genealogical information? Thank you!

Nunziante Apostolico, 43yo, "massaro"
Marzia Vitolo, from Nocera, (his) wife, 30yo
Carmine, son, 6yo
Maddalena, daughter, 4yo
Teresa, daughter, 2yo
Giuse (?), of Ave Gratia Plena, 8yo
Eusebia Apostolico, widow of Carmine, 67yo

A "massaro" was a person who is the head of a farm, though he is not the owner
"Ave Gratia Plena" was said of children of unknown parents. Such children were given to families for raising,
Eusebia probably was Nunziante's mother.

Abita in casa propria in detto Casale con piccolo orto per proprio uso, ed abitazione.

Thank you Pippo! Isn’t it unusual that Eusebia uses the name of her husband and not her maiden name?

Yes, it's not usual.
But Apostolico is a popular surname in that area.
BTW, how did you get that cadaster?
