I noticed on FamilySearch.org there was the following notation in a list of cities to choose from for research:
Noci
Noci e Mola di Bari
Noci e Palese
Noci e Palo del Colle
Noci, Palese e Mola di Bari
Noci, Palese e Palo del Colle
Noci, Polignano a Mare e Rutigliano
What does this mean? Were these other cities part of Noci at one point? I've not been able to find any info. The reason I ask is according to my uncle, my grandfather said he was from Bari, but also that it was a small fishing village. So, I presumed he meant the province of Bari. His birth record from 1901 shows he was born in Noci and that is where his family lived, but then when I saw the list above it made me wonder if perhaps they lived in Polignano a Mare e Rutigliano which is close to the sea, if that was indeed part of Noci at some point. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Hi Minnie,
Here's a Google map with rectangles around the places you mentioned. Noci has a double rectangle so it stands out from the others, and I put a circle around Bari.
Good luck with your search!
