His Father was Giacomo__Mother was Giuseppa Mastropolo as I have known and seen on this record.

His wife was Giovanna Di Liberto__age ??_born Ogliastro ?

Her Father was Giuseppe ?_no age_
Her Mother was ??_ Zucchero_age ?? -some writting past her name not understood ?

Taken 4 years to find this record, used some guesswork on Zucchero name, searching Marineo on Zuccaro thru me off

The writing is rather a challenge. I have made a start:

Marriage No 5

Promise dated 4 April 1846

Church Marriage was the same day in the parish of Ogliastro.

Groom: Castrenze Trentacoste, 34 yo, villico, born in Marineo, Palermo, the unmarried, son of the deceased Giacomo (Trentacoste), and of the deceased Giuseppa Mastropaolo

Bride: Giovanna Di Liberto, 21 yo, living in Ogliastro, unmarried daughter of the deceased Giuseppe and of Teresa Zucchero (in Di Liberto?), 50 yo, living in Ogliastro.

The next page just lists the dates that the marriage banns were posted followed by the list of documents (allegati) presented which included:

Birth Acts of Groom and Bride

(will come back to it)

So following on from previous post, here are all the allegati which were presented. It may need a little tweaking. The script is not great, plus there is some fading in the document which adds to the challenge.

Allegati Presented were:

Birth Act of the Groom

Birth Act of the Bride

Death Act of the father of the groom

Death Act of the father of the bride

(No 5) Death Act of the mother of the groom
(I’m not sure what else it says there but someone else will pic up on it. I think it might be saying that the groom made a declaration re the death of his paternal grandfather – I don’t think he knew when or where he died?)

No 6 is the Death Act of the paternal grandfather of the bride ...... and there is a little more there about the mother of the bride giving her consent to the marriage?

No 7. Is a copy of the Notification (Marriage Bann) which resulted in there being no opposition to the marriage taking place.

No 8. Is also a copy of a Notification - This one was posted in Marineo and also resulted in no opposition to the marriage taking place. (The previous one would have been posted in Ogliastro.

Last post today.

I’ve located the marriage allegati. It starts on Page 86 with a copy of the Atto di Solenne Promessa which has already been translated above for you: https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... _id=543891

Page 88: 1812 Baptism Record Castrenze Trentacosta
Page 89: 1825 Birth Record Giovanna Di Liberti/di Liberti
Page 90: 1840 Death Record Giacomo Trentacoste
and so on....

You can post them all individually on the forum for translation. What I usually do is I look for the original Civil Record, where applicable, and translate that, just in case there are any clerical errors in the Birth/Death extracts etc included in the allegati.

Note that while today the surname is “Di Liberto” in the records from the 1800’s it seems to be spelt “di liberto”.

Yes, correct, and then also the 1794 Death Record for Giorgio di Liberti, grandfather of the bride, on page 93. All the other records look to be in Italian.

had someone looking over Castenze Latin birth, month confusing ? day appears to be 15.
Do you think it's a Baptism ?

Anyway, thanks again, !!
Now off to search why Castrenze had a son in 1862 (Antonio) and the Mother listed is a Giovanna Zuccaro (age 22), also she is named on Antonio's marriage in 1887.
Never found a marriage record for Zuccaro.

Mother D'Liberto shown living in 1875 on son Giacomo's marriage record, and living in 1884 on son Salvatore's marriage record , and as dead in 1889 on son Giacomo's re-marriage in that year.

Giovanna Zuccaro listed living on Castenze's 1882 death Record, his Father Giacomo listed as dead, the Mother for Castenze was named as ( Rosa Mastropaolo -living ) believe that is a mistake giving by wife or a witness to his death.

In Antonio's 1887 Marriage Attachments, confirmed by his wife's (Caterina Spinella) listed information and family names.

Yes it is a Baptism Certificate, which "basically" is treated as a Birth Record for marriage allegati/processetti purposes. It's there to verify his birth. (There were no Civil Records in Palermo prior to 1820.)

The baptism record is dated 12 August 1812. I can't see another date there, so he must have been born the same day? I'm going to post a copy of the Baptism Record here, and hopefully someone who reads Latin will confirm the date for us, and translate the record. I'll read through your other comments closely later, as I have another commitment shortly. If you'd like the other Italian birth and death records included in the allegati translated let me know and I'll chip away at them when I can. If you need them quickly, I suggest you re-post them individually.

Here is the 1812 Baptism Record. Can someone please translate. Thank you.

Great, thank you for translating both Latin Records.
