deathg act assistance

Post by dmt1955 »

i would appreciate some help with some of my blanks.

1920 ariano irpino death acts #P.II.C.10 (file too large to attach)

https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... _id=433476
page 179

what i understand is that antonio died 14 sep 1918 with honors in service to his homeland. a number of lines down it then states dies with honors in military service to the USA, unless of course i am mistaken.

am i accurate that he died at the american embassy in rome?

i also do not see any parents/wife mentioned.

thanks very much for your help.

This is the translation of a certificate arrived from Washington, saying that the soldier Antonio Ferrara died with honor on 14 September 1918 while serving in the US Army, no indication of the place of death or other details.
Then the Military Attaché of the American Embassy legalized the certificate, repeating the same info.
Then the Official of the Comune gives the name of the person who translated the document from English and says that it was put in the 'Allegati' to the register.
