death record help

I am looking for help translating this death record for Giovanni Riccardi. I've made out that he died on July 14 1841 in Chiarmonte. Parents were Vincenzo and Francesca Cortazzi. I cannot make out the profession, cause of death, or any other information.

Happy to help. The word there for wool carder is "scardassiere". You may also see it written "scardalana" sometimes.
