1819 birth - Maria Giuseppa Migliarese

Post by carolc »

Hi

I need help with this record, especially the middle section which appears to talk about the father, Giacinto.

Can you please translate this record AND

Do you think it was acceptable then for a couple to have a child before marriage? Because I thought Giacinto and Rosa were married in 1821.

The doc is #123 on page 63

I don't understand why your response was a link to the document I linked in my request for a translation.

I thought this looked familiar. If you look here: https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/topic/47609 I have already translated this record for you, and established that this couple were not yet married. If you review their 1821 marriage record that you mention, then it may mention that they were legitimising her.

I'm sorry to waste your time. I really need to get better at checking to see what I have already asked.

No problem. It often happens. (Lucky for me I have quite a good memory.)
