How to find birth record for Angelo Puozzo Conselve about 1910-1920

Hi all, I'm trying to find my maternal grandfather. I know only his name was Angelo Puozzo from Conselve. I dont know his parents names.

I'm trying to build puozzo trees from any information on family search and antenati. I can find older information and trying to work forwards but getting nowhere.

Any idea where else I could look?

You really need to know who his parents were to be sure. If you know what year he married, look for his marriage record first as that will have his parents name on it. It looks like there are some marriage records there going to 1829, which might be a bit early, and there is marriage allegati going beyond that year. They look like they are locked, but if you click on them anyway, they will unlock.

Who did he marry?

The surname Puozzo is definitely a name in the town. I quickly looked through the indices but didn't see an Angelo Puozzo there for the years 1911-1917.

He never married my Nonna, and he wasn't named on my mothers birth certificate, though my mother was told his name as being Angelo Puozzo, and remembered going with her own grandparents to the house where his family lived but they shunned her altogether.

I am led to believe he did marry and have other children.

My nonna was under 21 when she had my mother and Im led to believe that my nonna chose not to add his name as it was illegal? also the families had discussed marriage but my Nonna refused.

It is such a puzzle and I'm guessing him to be a little older than my nonna Amabile Paccagnella who was born herself in 1917. My Nonna Amabile never married and had no other children.

I found 1 record so far for Angelo Puozzo born 1909, and there is a marriage notation, but I can't make out the details.

Can anyone help with the birth record trascription and the marriage? Not sure if it is who Im looking for yet though.

Well done you!!! This is a really good possibility. Yes, I had wondered whether he may have been older too and was going to look further back but have been busy, but don't need too now. Here's the translation. I've included the address of this Angelo's birthplace which may help solve the mystery.

Parents are Emilio Luigi Puozzo, 28 yo, contadino and his wife Albina Maria Negrisolo, a domestic, living with him. Baby, who was given the name Angelo was born at 5.30 am on 21 December 1909, via Beolo, No 67.

I’ve located Angelo Puozzo and Anna Disaro’s notification of their marriage which was sent to the town from the Parish Priest of Terrassa Padovana. They were married in 1937 not 1927.

Wow wow wow.....what can I say, but Grazie Grazie, Grazie.......This has been a long long journey to get this far, and my mother has spent many years wondering about "Angelo". My mother Laura Defina Pacagnella was born in 1935 in PAdova the daughter of Amabile Pacagnella. My nonna Amabile never married, and there may be so many reasons why she didnt.

To me it sounds like Angelo then met or was arranged to marry his wife in 1937, and was not married at the time of my mothers birth.

Perhaps a romantic story of broken hearts, but who knows....the voices who could reply are no longer able to.

My mother will at least now be able to be sure of her father. I will look through all those links and try to extend the tree to current times...there may be living relatives who might like to know about their family now in the UK.

There may be more questions to answer, but for now thanks a million really i am so grateful.
