Marriage Notification No 6: Domenico Butera and Vincenza Spitaleri

Trabia: 10 May 1835

The marriage banns were affixed to the door of the town hall on Sunday, 12 April 1835 which gave notification of their intention to marry (and to learn whether there was any opposition to the marriage taking place).

Prospective Groom: Domenico Butera, 26 yo, villico (tenant farmer), living in Trabia, son of Antonino (Butera) and of Francesca Cancilla, both living in Trabia;

and

Prospective Bride: Vincenza Spitaleri, 28 yo, living in Trabia, daughter of Salvadore (Spitaleri), a villico, and of Ignazia La Barbera, both living in Trabia

The marriage promise and marriage record is here Page 12 of 132: https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... 34/571nQgP

I’ll type up the translation of the marriage promise shortly, as it gives more info on the parents. I just need to check on something first, as something doesn't quite make sense.
