Need Help with Birth Translation

Post by FrankCMauro »

Hi,
I have attached a copy of my great grandfather's birth record Vito Steppello. I am not sure where I obtained it.
I would appreciate it if someone could help me translate it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Frank Mauro

A better copy (easier to translate) here. https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali. ... 61/LoE8O97

June 11, 1859, before commune officials, Rocco Stopelli, age 36, son of Innocenzio Stopelli appeared and presented a male child and reported that it was born of his wife, Anna Mari Carisi, age 30, living with him, and of the declarant. The child was given the name of Vito Nicola Stopelli.

At right it says that he was baptized in the local parish on June 11, 1859
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra

June 11, 1859, before commune officials, Rocco Stoppelli, age 36, son of Innocenzio Stoppelli appeared and presented a male child and reported that it was born of his wife, Anna Maria Parisi, age 30, living with him, and of the declarant. The child was given the name of Vito Nicola Stoppelli.

At right it says that he was baptized in the local parish on June 11, 1859

Adding: Birth was registered 11 June 1859, but the baby was born on 9 June 1859. The address that they lived in was Strada Fondaco, no number is given.
