Birth No 40: Nicola Antonio Tedesco

Registered on 20 September 1852 in the town of Giffoni Valle Piana

Gerardo Tedesco, 40 yo, bracciale (day labourer) living in Subeco? presented a baby boy, born on 20 September 1852, in his home, from Maria della Vecchia, 35 yo, and from himself the declarant. The baby was given the name Nicola Antonio Tedesco.

Right Column are the Baptism details: Baptised in the parish of S. Elia in Subeco, on 20 September 1852.

The other names there are just the people witnessing the birth registration and presentation of the baby:

Pietro Sica, 39 yo, bracciale, and Francesco Tedesco, 30 yo, bracciale, both living Pozzarolo.

I'm wondering whether the correct name of the hamlet that Gerardo Tedesco and Maria della Vecchia were living in was actually Sovvieco? Just a thought.

I agree: Subeco is the ancient name for Sovvieco.
