Ciao a tutti.
This is postcard with a photo of my Nonno and his family when they lived in Francofonte, Sicily.
I'm wondering mostly who sent the card and to whom.
The family surname was Giacominato.
Is the card addressed to Signore Grimoldi?
That surname is not in the family, so it's not familiar at all.
Thank you so much in advance.

Re: Postcard Interpretation
I'm not completely sure who sent the photo and who was the recipient because I can't catch all the words. It seems like it is addressed to Mr Francesco Grimaldi, Francofonte and that it is from Compar Giacominato. Are you sure that Giacominato is the surname and not the given name?
Anyways, I would say that these people were very close, like family. I always addressed my Godparents as Comparo and Comara and also my siblings godparents in the same way. We also addressed close friends, like people who were in my parents wedding party as Comparo and Comara. (Once I turned 21 my Godmother addressed me as Comara Angela.)
I'm sure someone else will chime in. Great photo.

That's interesting. Thank you for finding this. I had a look through some indices in the town but couldn't see any evidence of the name where I looked or anywhere else. Mystery solved.
