I've read many Latin Catholic Church records and usually just pick out the vital information, but I think this one contains a little bit more. Perhaps someone more experienced could read and translate the excerpt of the 1734 record below and linked here: https://www.familysearch.org/records/im ... eView=true
The marrying parties are Leonardo Calandrino and Liboria Luppino, in the comune of Alcamo, Trapani, Sicily.
Thanks in advance!

Re: translating Latin marriage record with previously-unknown terminology
I understand (but someone might help, as not all is clear to me) that Leonardo was born in Salemi, but residing in Alcamo, like his parents, and the licence for his marriage was issued by mail letter.

Interesting! I got a similar reading of "born in Salemi, but residing in Alcamo." I'm lost in between that section and the mention of the bride, Liboria.

I read "Vicario Generali R(everendo) D(omino) Joseph Filingeri", but I can't give this sentence a meaning, in the sense that I don't understand why he is mentioned.

Re: translating Latin marriage record with previously-unknown terminology
Can we perhaps think of it as follows?:
"...Leonardo Calandrino, born of Salemi, but residing in Alcamo, son of Francesco and Anna, married in the city of Salemi, license dated 13th of February showing residence in Alcamo, signed by Vicario Generali Reverendo Domino Giuseppe Filingeri..."
The "license" being a record of the family's move to Alcamo?
