Gidaro from Isca Sull Jonio

Hello, I am working on researching my fathers side of the family from Italy. My grandfather's name was Anthony Vincent Gidaro his father Dominico Gidaro(b.6/1888 d.??) came over from Italy in 1913. Went back to Italy and married my great grandmother Catherina Procopio(b. 9/1892 d.4/1982) in 1921 and he came back to the US the same year, she came over in 1923. They had 4 children Anthony, Stephen, Marie, and Elizabeth and lived in Kulpmont, Pa. (Northumberland Co.)

We had found a picture in my grandmother's attic of my great grandfather and his family, his brother and his family and my great great grandmother. I believe his brother came to america around the same time that he did and either him or his brother went back to Italy to get their mother but I don't know when or either of their names. If anyone has any information on them I would greatly appreciate it.

The wifes name could be Barbera...a common surname in the south. Will call you later...need to "chat".

since you want to know the parents names of Domenico Gidaro and Caterina Procopio, and you also have their birth date, you can make a request of birth certificate, in Italian, asking to put parents names, to Isca sullo Ionio civil record office

Francesco Gidaro is with Connie Nestico yes living at 541 Chestnut Str...(I did see this before my computer crashed..ancestry giving me trouble today)

Nicola lists James Gidaro as nearest relative on WW2 draft cards..

Now, if you are comfortable going through the Ellis Island site and viewing manifests, you could try and see who made how many trips to Italy and maybe you will find your relative. Otherwise, will try to help later.

Maria, for Caterina...it was her second trip to the US, right? She was already a citizen on this journey?
