Looking for info on Conforto/Comforto family. I think Joseph Frank Conforto's father was Gabriele Frank Comforto or Conforto. Joseph Frank Conforto was born in Palermo in 1896, moved to Louisiana and married to Giusseppina (Josephine) Albano and lived in New Orleans until his death in 1966. His father may have been adopted. Where do I begin to find orphanage records?
