Nicodemo Costanzo Andreola's 1818 Processeti Help.

Post by NickAndreola »

Context: There were 2 Antonio Andreola's who are the current earliest known ancestors of all the Andreola's in Casalvecchio di Puglia. One married to Giuditta Boccamazzo and one married to Eufemia Boccamazzo (my line). Both are having children in the same general time frame 1750-1770ish. It is unclear still if they were actually the same Antonio's with some of the children's records written incorrectly or there were actually 2 separate individuals--so I'm trying to dig for more on both lines. My line has an oral history of coming to Casalvecchio (Foggia, Puglia) from Tufara (Campobasso, Molise).

This 1818 processetti is for Nicodemo Andreola -son of Antonio and Giuditta Boccamazzo. The full package runs from Images 77 thru 98.

Image 86 (repeat on 87) is Nicodemo's 16 April 1756 birth to Antonio & Giuditta in Tufara (proving that the 'other' Antonio came from there)

Image 88 https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 40/LmXaWD6 appears to be Antonio's father Giovanni Andreola's death in Tufara on 8 Feb 1766. He was the widow of his 2nd wife Maddelena Boccamazzo (I know, Ha!), and son of Angelo & Diana Ferrucci and his age was 71 =Born about 1695. Does this seem correct to you as well???????????

Image 89 appears to be Antonio's mother (and Giovanni's 1st wife) Maria Veseri's 25 Aug 1730 death in Tufara. Her parents were (both deceased or just her father?) Giacchino and Anna Recchia. Maria's age was 26 = Born about 1704. Does this seem correct to you as well???????????

Image 90 (repeat on 91) is one that really confuses me....it appears to be Antonio's birth in 1729 (can't find an actual date?) I see the bit mentioning Maria Veseri & Giovanni Andreola and the bit Maria Veseri the deceased 1st wife of Giovanni Andreola--but I can't google translate well enough to understand the full context of this record---HELP please!

Sorry for the long post-I deeply appreciate your time educating me!

All you say seems correct.
As to image 90, the Parson says that in the register it was not written that Maria Veseri was Giovanni's wife.
So, he checked the "Stati delle Anime" of preceding year (1729) to see that she actually was, and Antonio's mother, too.

Thanks Pippo! So image 90 just verifies Giovanni & Maria's marriage and Antonio as their child but gives no birth date for Antonio---other than the assumption that he was born by 1729 to be listed on the the Stati delle Anime for that year?
