question concerning street name in Valle dell'Angelo

Post by jasongarvey »

Hello,

I have recently started researching my family’s roots. My great-great (2nd-great) grandparents were both born in Valle dell’Angelo: Franceso Palladino (02/04/1842) (April 2nd) and Maria Elena Iannuzzi (10/10/1848). Their oldest son, Barbato Antonio Palladino (21/05/1887), was the last of their children born in Italy before they emigrated to the US.

I have included and attachment in which his birth certificate lists “casa posta” as something I can't quite make out. However, I have looked at current maps of Valle dell’Angelo and am not able to come up with anything that resembles match.

My family and I are going to Italy and have set aside a day (not nearly enough time) to visit Valle dell’Angelo in early July, and I would love to know where he lived.

Also, is there a place where I can look at records once I’m in Valle dell’Angelo?

I truly appreciate anyone who may be able to offer any advice. Thank you for your informative website!

Best,
Jason

Via del Popolo 2. That's is where my father was born :-)
When the Paladino family emigrated to the USA my GGF bought the house.
