I am looking to find where and when my GGGF was born. From research I have done on FamilySearch, I believe he was born around 1888 in Comiziano, Southern Italy. He came to the US in 1904.
I have checked online at Antenati, but they do not have birth records uploaded for Comiziano.
My family has nearly no information on this relative, and have no confirmation even on the birth year. He had a child with my GGGM, Alina (Anna) Finaldi in 1907. That child was my GGF, Amerigo Del Balzo. Then I think he left the mom and child and maybe went back to Italy. I have not found any census or draft records for him in the US, so I do think he left or changed his name. I know he was never present for my GGF's life.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on where to search for records for my GGGF. Thanks all.

The records for that area are being digitized, but when they will be uploaded it anybody’s guess you could try the historical record section at family search.org to see if they have any uploaded. There is a blog post on how to search the historical records on my website.
