Alfonso Di Petrillo - Birth Records

Hi,

I've done a lot of research on my family, but hoping for help finding my ancestor's birth records as I've run into a challenge since the Comune of Roccamonfina does not appear to have them.

Alfonso Di Petrillo
27 August 1886
Roccamonfina (maybe Garofali)
Mother: Luisa
Father: Vincenzo

Angelina Di Paola (Alfonso's Wife)
20 April 1891
Roccamonfina (maybe Garofali)
Mother: Carmina
Father: Tomasino

Any suggestions??

I could not find him in the military records of Caserta province.
Do you know the names of their parents?
Do you have their immigration ship manifests?

Yes, I have the names of their parents (see below). Believe I have a shipping manifest for Alfonso for the SS Caponic from Napoli in 16 Dec 1908.

Of course, birth year is wrong.

I wonder if the search they did at the Comune was accurate.
I see from the manifest that he was 23 in 1908; so, he seems to have been born in 1894 or 1895, despite of the birth date declared in his military registration card:

Moreover, surname in the manifest is "Petrillo", instead of "Di Petrillo"

If it helps, believe Alfonso's mother is Luisa Giglio possibly born in Roccamonfina 1857

In Roccamonfina no Luisa Giglio in the 1854-1860 range.

Interesting... All their records identify them as born in Roccamonfina. Here is Luisa Giglio's death record

Was able to track down the birth record of Angelina's mother, Maria Carmina Petteruti, in the Roccamonfina records online

Found a ship manifest for Luisa Giglio in 1921, six months before she died:

Age would show her birth in 1848/9, but I could not find the record.
It's a very elusive family!

Interesting! The age listed differs from the birth date on her death certificate (1857), but probably her based off of the other information
