Villa Latina

Post by christopher02 »

hello, I've recently started my research journey locating my ancestors. I'd like to know if we still have distant relatives still in the area and if anyone out there is familiar with our family.

My great grandparents came from Italy. Bernardo Notargiacomo was born in 1887 (Atina) , and I was able to track both his and his father's (Arcangelo in Santopadre)'s birth record from the archives. Bernardo's second wife, Maria Civita Pacitti (1893) was born in Villa Latina, where it seems her family had settled for centuries as I was able to trace birth records from five generations back with my ancestor Salvatore Pacitti in 1710.

If anyone can help with more information or any context, it would be greatly appreciated. The Pacittis especially appear to have big families. Additionally, my uncle is planning a trip next year with my cousins and hoping to stay in Villa Latina, so if anyone has any experience staying in the area, I would love to hear about it.

Thank you in advance!

Parish records in Villa Latina begin in 1742. Before that they were either part of the parish of Atina or that of Picinisco. We are located about 30 km from Villa Latina and have a lot of experience tracing living relatives.
