Locating ancestral homes in Corleone?

Post by Beatles78 »

Hello,

I go back generations of my Capra (Crapa) side of the family and other branches in Corleone, Italy. I'm wondering how I can locate any ancestral homes (addresses) themselves in Corleone of these families?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Example:

Antonino Crapa
B:about 1665 Corleone, Palermo, Sicilia, Italy
D:before 1747 Corleone, Palermo, Sicily

Further down the line....and my immigrant ancestor:

Antonino Crapa
B: Dec 3,1857 Corleone, Sicilia, Italy
D: May 24,1945 Cook County, IL

Cristoforo Cicirello
B: about 1810 Corleone, Italy
D: Corleone, Italy

Rosa Cicirello
B:January 1856 Corleone, Sicilia, Italy
D:Aug 10, 1939

Thank you!!!

The birth records of your ancestors born in century XIX might report addresses of residence or birth.
For older ancestors, the Riveli (sort of censuses records) might help. I don't know if they are available for Corleone.

Edit:
unfortunately, they've not been digitized yet

Those Riveli are digitized and have been for years. Just recently (last Oct or Nov) there was some sort of contract change with the Archivio di Stato di Palermo that houses the Riveli for all of Sicily, and digitized records of Riveli on FamilySearch are no longer available online or at a family history center.
