I am looking to find the cause of death for two separate individuals.
My great-grandfather was Antonio Scimia. He was born to Carmine Scimia and Caterina Centi. I found out that Carmine was a window and married before Caterina. I found his deceased wife's Act of Death and was wondering if a cause of death is revealed?

Pg. 316, Act. 56. (it looks like 16)
When Carmine remarried, he had a baby named Antonio. Unfortunately, Antonio died a month after his birth. I found his Act of Death was was wondering if a cause of death is revealed?

Cause of Death Needed
Re: Cause of Death Needed
No, they are not.
Causes of death are very very rarely revealed on the death acts, almost never.
You could find them in the supplements if the death occurred in an hospital or outside their residence. But that also varies from municipality to municipality.
Also, these supplements are not always available on line.

Re: Cause of Death Needed
You had originally found both the Birth and Death Act for Antonio Scimia. You posted his Act of Birth, then you said that he was likely not going to live long, then you found and posted his Act of Death for me.Farassino wrote: 22 Feb 2025, 17:27 No, they are not.

How did you know that he wasn't going to live very long based on his Act of Birth?
Thanks!
Re: Cause of Death Needed
Because a second Antonio was born after the first one and that usually means that the previous born with the same name has died and we had already found the birth of the second Antonio.
Re: Cause of Death Needed
Lol, duh. I thought maybe the Act of Birth indicated an issue during birth or ailment that you were able to see but this makes perfect sense. Thanks!
