Next step???
I finally received a responce from the L'Ufficiale dello Stato Civile di Novara di Sicilia! YEA! I sent them the info that I had on my Great Grandfather (his d.o.b and his parents names) and they sent my his parents dob's AND the names of THEIR parents (would that be my Great Great Great Grandparents!) And the "luogo di nascita" for all of them was Novara di Sicilia! Unfortunately, they did not have the baptism or marriage information/dates that I was looking for. Does anyone have an idea of what to do next? My quest is, and yes, this probably is strange, but I am fixated on finding a church where someone in my family was either baptised and/or married in! My husband and I are taking our children to Italy and Sicily in 2 years and I would really love to visit a church that was part of my family's history! Any idea on what to do next would be greatly appreciated! Mille Grazie!

Via Duomo , NOVARA DI SICILIA 98058 (ME)*
Appears to be the only one in the town.

Thank you for the address! I tried looking as well, but could only find Santa Maria la Noara in Novara di Sicilia. I am assuming that those are two different churches? Also, would you recommend that I send a letter to S. Maria Assunta to see if they have the church records for my ancestors? Thanks again!

Yes I did and thank you! But I meant that when I looked, the only one I could find was the Santa Maria la Noara--and I was just confused as to whether or not it was the same church.

I just found an email address for the Monsignor at S. Maria Assunta....would it be out of place to send an email before writing a letter?
