Stati di Famiglia??

Post by searchingfamilyhistory »

Hello

Quite awhile ago, I was working on a different Italian line and the comune sent me a document that unfortunately does not have a title telling me what the document is called. (I did not ask for the document though luckily it was included in with copies of birth and marriage records.) It lists the family members, when and where they were born, when they moved into the comune etc. There are columns for profession, place of residence, change of residence, the date of the change. Not all columns are filled but it has provided a lot of information. The dates included from early 1800s to 1881.

I would like to request the same type of document from a different comune but am not sure what it is called?

Thank you
Searching names: Mori, Soncini, (Poviglio, Italy) Faggiani (Moncalvo & Torino, Italy) Petrali & Pinelli (Montova, Italy). Also Hermann (Bleismengen Germany) Faggani (England), Rochford/Rocheforte (England & Ireland), Barataud (France)

It is most likely a census/citizenship record, known as a Cittadinanze...

Thanks Mark. After a little more digging I found that I should be asking for the CERTIFICATO STORICO DI FAMIGLIA for this type of document particularly one of such old dates.
