Day September 24th, 1823, at 15 o'clock.
Marriage promise between groom Domenico Caccioppoli, 21 years old, born in Vico Equense, living in the Casale of Moiano, peasant as job, son of the deceased Marco and the living Emmanuela Attanasio, living with her son, and bride Vincenza Vanacore alias Buonocore, 25 years old, born in Vico Equense, living in the same place, daughter of the both living Domenico, landowner as job, and Caterina Parlato, living with her daughter.
They got married in the parish church of Moiano on October 2nd, 1823.

Thank you.

However for bride Vincenza, we never came across the word "alias" for the two different surnames names. We are building the ancestry tree. Do we use Vanacore or Buonocore for her last name?

The best thing is to find her birth/baptism record, so is possible to find out what was her correct surname.

I believe that Vincenza’s mother’s name is Celestina (not Caterina) Parlato.

To establish Vincenza’s surname, because she was born prior to civil records, if there are no church records on line, it would be helpful to look for marriages of other children, unless there are marriage allegati/processetti on line, which would contain Vincenza’s birth record.

1823 Processetti starts here: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 19/0MMmyzD

Sorry, I don’t have time to look through them for you as I have commitments today. Ofcourse they only include Baptism Records not Civil Birth Records for Domenico and Vincenza.

Do you have Vincenza's death record? That would be another place to look. You would need to search under both surnames. Locating Domenico's death record first would narrow the range down for you as it would include whether Vincenza was living or deceased.

Well, good news, I’ve located the 1823 Processetti pertaining to the marriage of Domenico and Vincenza and on Vincenza’s baptism record, I’m understanding that her father’s name is written “Dominco Vanacora sue Buonacore”

Here is a summary of some of the records included amongst the processetti. It would be good to have the Latin records translated as I don’t read Latin and may have misinterpreted.

1823 Processetti for Domenico Caccioppoli e Vincenza Vanacore seu Buonocore begin here with Domenico Caccioppoli’s 1802 Baptism Record:
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 19/LpjoK8o
(Image 1060 of 1480) (Domenico was given three names “Domenico, Giosue? Giovanni”

The next record, Image 1062 is the Death Record Extract No 107 pertaining to Marco Caccioppoli, Domenico’s father. He died in July 1809. You might like to post this separately for translation.

Image 1064, I can barely read, but it looks to be the death record of Domenico’s paternal grandfather, ie Marco’s father, and I’m understanding from the record that Marco’s mother’s surname was “Vanacore”. I suggest yoou post this church record, which is in Latin for translation.

Image 1466 is Vincenza’s baptism record and it is interesting because it gives her father’s name to be Dominco “Vanacora sue Buonacore” (?) I suggest you post it for a full translation. It’s also in Latin.

Thank you to all! These links provide valuable information to build on our Caccioppoli Tree. We found the marriage record for Ferdinando Caccioppoli 12 February 1848 to Maria Giovanna Caccioppoli. It says Ferdinando's mother is Vincenza Buonocore.

You are very welcome for the help. I’m so please the allegati were there.

My thinking is that Vanacore and Buonocore are possibly variants of the same name. I’d suggest that Vanacore, might be dialectal.

Mi pare che sia scritto “Vanucore seu Buonocore”, non sue!
Vanucore o anche Buonocore

@mmogno
Absolutely - “seu” and “Buonocore”. Thank you for catching my typos. Not sure why I typed Buonacore and sue.

Vanacore/Vanucore: While it would make more sense for the name to be “Vanucore” it’s not what I am reading. It only looks a little like “Vanucore” in Image 1066. In all the other records, I am reading Vanacore.

Thanks again, G.
