My great grandparents Luigi Barbetti and Virginia Cortopassi were married upon her arrival in New York City at Ellis Island Apr 11 1907. I am seeking more information regarding their descendents or ancestors. Their mothers maiden names are Tamer and Valentini. Luigi Barbetti is from Lucca and Virginia Cortopassi is from Capella, Any help would be appreciated

Shows slightly different info..says they arrived in 1905 and that Josephine was born in NY. Antony unfortunately is not on the census... but they have another daughter. Louis is still in the Ice Cream business..1910 census says he was a driver.

According to some of the records I located on Narciso mentioned soming over with Virgina) some of the Barbetti family moved to California by 1920.

That is fantastic! Yes It looks like alot of that seems correct! I can't thank you enough for this. It never occured to me that Luigi would have americanized his name to Louis since he never used that name to any of our knowledge. But My maternal grandmother is named Josephine and her sister was Adele.
The California connection is a great find.. Seems like it could be his brother Birth year corresponds with the Ellis Island Records.

After reading all that It certainly them with a few inconsistencies. But easy errors to have in census documents. He was proud of his ice cream trade. The old man told many stories of his career in NYC as a fabled driver turned ice cream maverick. Grazie!
