Aaaaah managing a boarding house... did that person only have one section of 69 Mac Dougal Street or the whole building? I'm sorry I've got so many questions!

ubail ligonas....
At first I thought it was a merchant for "tail (tile) lignum"

But now I think it is "retail liquor"

Time for the virtual bar.... wooooooo hoooooooooooooo!!

We're talkin about Victor Blotto right??? :o

Anyways... according to a 1900 census record  ... he is listed as a RECTOFINER... what the heck is that??

I saw that: rectofiner!
---------------------------------------------------------
Back to Lise/Toia
I think we need some more records.
Any chance Lise used to be something else?
Not many folks coming from these 3 locations w/this
name?

Hi ... found the "Lise" I mentioned earlier... not sure if it is Liri or Lise...

1910 Census record.... see line 3

Note that there is also a sister here named Emilia... no clue at this point who these people are...

Manhattan Ward 15, District 809, page33

Also sent another poster from this forum ...this same census page.. since he's researching the Cicala family... line 27

Maria...

Marie,

What's the name above this Cicala? Less/Lese?
There is also an Antonio Cicala on Bleecker, age 36.... the one above age 41?

Found your pizza joint (#7 Carmine) in Ward 9, ED 137...seems to be all the odd street numbers....Ward 9, ED 136 has even numbers on Carmine, but doesn't go below the 20's. Actually 7 is lowest I found in the odds, so I'm not sure if there was a 2-4 Carmine.

Found a John Street in New York, NY. No so far from Carmine St, Mac Dougal St, etc.

Didn't see the rectofiner since I haven't seen the 1900 census ..
