Can anyone tell me how I might find records for Santa Margherita near Genova. I"m interested in records of the 1700's.

Have you checked the Latter Day Saints for microfilmed records?

If there is no microfilm available for this time frame, you would need to consult parish records by correspondence.

I just looked at familysearch.org. I didn't see a listing for Santa Margherita Ligure (It is Ligure, not Liguria, just to clarify). There are a lot of other Santa Margheritas listed, but not this one.

Santa Margherita is a quite a beautiful town, by the way. I was there about 5 years ago.

Thanks for the reply. I think you are correct; it is Santa Margherita Ligure. I have also checked LDS for the records with no luck.
