Hello,
This is my first try I think I am in the correct place, if not please let me know.
My G.Grandfather was apparently an orphan from Monza was fostered and brought to England at the age of 7 (1868). His name was Nicola Lombardozzi his father Domenic (and mothers name was Franscia Contia) so the Lombardozzi name from Lombardy makes sense.
I went to Monza from Canada hoping to find something-anything. El Duomo may have some record but they are not releasing anything at this time. I have been communicating with a lady at the Commune and have been struggling with translating our letters. While I wait for her reply is there anywhere I can check out births-deaths-marriages or adoptions.
thanks for your help
Jacqui

Hi Jacqui, you can check out records, if you hire the films from the latter day saints centre:
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... umns=*,0,0
this seems a bit confusing, cause when you click on these, the records or details of them, seem to be in german??
Maybe someone can help with this?
Also, i have Lomdardozzi ancesters, but from Sora,Frosinone in Lazio.
I hope this helps, and someone can add to it!!
