Digitized Prints and Photographs at the Library of Congress

Post by Biff83 »

Since some items get lost in individual posts, Valarie suggested I post the link to the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress here. This is a wonderful collection of material which is being expanded each day. I've used it to augment my Ancestry tree by using the photos to show the working conditions in the various types of industries where my grandparents and other relatives worked--silk mills, coal mines, and railroads--and am sure everyone will find it useful in some way.

The link below will take you to the search page.

Biff, thanks for posting this information.
Terrific idea to add these photos to your family
database! I get lost in the pictures every time I
visit, it really brings history to life. What a wonderful
resource!
Thank you :D ! Valarie
