Carescia Loretta C and John H Andreano

Post by bousejg »

Looking for information for both families. Both from Cassa Delveccio Province of Foggia Italy. Moved to Framingham Mass I think.

Have an 91 yr old dad that is wondering if his mother had another sister other than a Claire and Grace. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Hello,
if his mother was born in Casalvecchio, you can write an request a "Certificato Storico di Famiglia" (Historical Family certificate) to

Comune
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Via Fabio Filzi, 66
CAP 71030
Casalvecchio di Puglia (FG)
Italy

or you can contact Archivio di Stato di Foggia

http://wwwdb.archivi.beniculturali.it/S ... 2FOGGIA%22

or you can rent Casalvecchio di Puglia civil record microfilm from FHL (mormons)

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... ato+civile++

I hope it helps,
bye Riccardo

OK, I did some digging and found a SS# for John Henry Andreano Sr - 044-03-8923. My Dad said he thinks this might be correct. Also got a SS# for Joseph Andreano 771-10-4130 and wondered also if his real name could be Giovianni? Still waiting reply from relative in New Jersey. Will keep you all posted. Thanks again. Gloria

Gloria,
No hits on Joseph's SS# - he may not have filed for benefits.
1st 3 digits, 771 would be Florida...
His name should be Giuseppe... Valarie

Hello,

Just thought I'd post here and let you know that my family is from Casalvecchio di Puglia, Foggia, Italy as well. So far I've found the family names back to 1820's at the Family History Center in Worcester, MA.

Interestingly my family also settled in Milford, MA when they got to the USA.

Some of the names in my family tree:
Brunetti, D'Aloia, Flocco, Iacovelli, Palmieri, and Tosches.

So far I have Luigi Iacovelli as the first family member settled in Milford around 1892 living on Purchase street at the time of the 1900 Census.

My grandmother's maiden name was Filomena Tosches. She was born March 25 1858 in Casalvecchio. She died Jan 29, 1933 in Milford Mass.

Do you think this might be part of your family also?
