Pascal family

Post by fcatelotti »

Hello everybody!

I'm investigating about the Pascal family, especially about Francisco Felipe Pascal, my great-great-grandfather, who was born in Piemonte (Italy) in approximately 1861, and died in Entre Ríos (Argentina) in 1936.

I'm also interested in María Margarita Casse, Francisco Pascal's wife, who was born in Piemonte (Italy) in approximately 1863, and died in Argentina in 1953.

If you know anything, please write to me. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked the catalogue at www.familysearch.org to see if your local Later Day Saints library has microfilm of Piemonte? You may be able to find their acts of birth there (atto di nascita).

I have Pascale in my family tree, but they are from Benevento.

Do you have their death certificates? The death certificates should have the date of birth. You can write to the commune of Piemonte with the date of birth and name and ask for "una copia integrale del atto di nascito." Write in Italian.

If you don't speak Italian, this site will help you with the letter to the Ufficio Stato Civile di Piemonte.

Thanks, people! I've written to several communes. The problem is that my great-great grandparents were born before 1866, that is, before the Ufficio di Stato Civile started to work.
I should look for them in the Churches, though I couldn't find the corresponding e-mail addresses.
Greetings from Argentina!

Hello Fernando
The name "Casse" is specific of the valley of Susa (between Bardonecchia and Susa. In addition we know the very important emigration from this region to Entre Rios between 1850 and 1900. I suggest you to focus on this part of Piemont in Italy.
Best regards,
Cyrille

Pascal family -- Joseph Pascal and his wife, Rose Arlaud Pascal, from the Salbertrand area, emigrated to the US in 1909. I am looking for any information that others may have which is from the same families in Salbertrand, and any current ancestors in the region. Also, how does one go about getting a copy of the birth certificates and marriage license of these two individuals from Salbertrand or the appropriate jurisdiction?

Thank you.
