Post by Last »

:) Hi is there a web site to research cemetaries in Italy? If not how do you research where our deceased  relatives are burried?

I do not know of an online resource such as this. However, I have read on this forum and in a book on Italian genealogy that their cemetary practices are different than ours. Especially in the larger cities, plots are leased for a number of years. Once the lease runs out, the bones are dug up and buried in a common grave and someone else rents the plot. So, you may not necessarily find your relative buried in a designated plot.

Do you need pictures of Montefusco and its cemetery?

Hi, I would like to search where my deceased relative are burried. I will gladly look at any information, but if there is a web site of a listing of deceased people I might be able to find some of my relatives.

Ciao!

Chuck
