Once you've confirmed names/dates/relationships,
if you've found the town(s) of origin in Italy - you can
start your Italian research.
Sound OK?
.......
Valarie,

Yes, it sounds terrific

I plan on researching what it takes to confirm names/dates/relationships.

Yes. Valarie and everyone that has contributed.. Thank you. I believe I've ask for a sip of water and have been lead to an ocean. :D

I have spoke with my sister, she has a copy of FTM 2006. I would like to make sure whichever software we use it has an export feature that allows me to share this information. Oh by the way, Thanksgiving its going to be a little more special this year! TY all!

from my first glance at the different software it looks like gedcom is a solid data format standard? i would like to make sure i can import/export to a data standard that is widely used and will be around for a couple more generations ;)

Really interesting!
Orsola Camito/a?? 42
- joining her husband - Pagliaro in NY
Daughter Ida 9
Son Gennarino 7
Son Pasquale mos
Giuseppe Bilotti 33
- joining his cousin Sirianni? in NY
Interesting is a bit of an under statement from my point of view. ;)
Restated:
-The ships manifest in under a Week! I believe I am very fortunate.
-Panettieri. That is big.
-I may be a blood relative of Camito/a? 8O ... Whoa!
-Franks mothers (Edith) name may have been Ida? I may have to start calling my sister Edith by another name..
...

Side note: Google Satilite view of Panettieri

I am looking forward to learning how to confirm and compile. Then sharing this information with family members and others.

Tony, actually I think I had originally
written 'fascinating!', but decided it was
a bit too bold to comment on your family.
Somewhere, probably in NY is a marriage
record for Orsola & Giuseppe. Florence's
birth certificate should be in NY too.
No doubt we're all speculating on what
happened.
Confirming names/dates/relationships generally
means ordering records that occurred at or
close to the time of an event: birth, marriage,
death certificates.
Where these records are depends
upon the location at the time.
a very general site
Valarie

I may have to start calling my sister Edith by another name..

How about Editta

I've restarted the search ... I am going to focus on finding my grand father's comune ... and requested a birth record.
