Defeudis

Post by meticulousmobile »

OK, I'm giving up on the Bottini side for a while. Can anybody find any documentation on my bisnonno, Pantaleo Defeudis? He was born around 1893 in Bisceglie, moved to Manfredonia around age 2. Not sure when he emigrated, but he married Antonia (Anna) Laposta in 1924, and she was born Aug 19, 1902 in NYC. They lived the rest of their lives in Worcester, MA. I believe he died March 1985. Their children were Julia, Alice (Allessandra), and Anna. I'm told his parents' names were Francesco Defeudis and Giulia DiPilato. I can't really find any good info on him. Thank you!

1914 mani looks possible, age is correct, Worcester is correct, and they were with a Dipalato, but says mother is angela. Horrible handwriting on it, can't tell what it says for by whom passage paid, and what relative visiting. Definitely possible though.

Probably not the correct manifest

It appears this is a female?

by whom passage paid: bride groom?
and what relative visiting: bride groom?

It looks like brother-in-law was crossed out (before the name)?
Yes, he should be on both the 1920 & 1930 US census,
perhaps we'll find whoever he was joining living nearby...
