Family Travels
Family Travels
While research for passages that family may have made to the "old country, I found this manifest 1909 for Joseph Virzi. He is I think coming from Locati, Sicily back to the US. His wife Angela is listed as the relative where he came from. To be clear, that is from the US and not from Sicily, correct?
I have attached a copy of the file.
Thank you for any help.

Re: Family Travels
Thanks VJ. At least I know she did not stay in the US. Her last child was born 1906 in the US. Really explains a lot. I have found no trace of her returning to the US let alone in the US. The 1920 census does not show her at all, only her husband and younger children. The great family mystery. I am wondering if that is where my great grandparents ended up from Tunisia. In 1910 when my great grandfather came to visit he was already in his mid 60's. Would there be LDS films available for that area with deaths listed? I know you are quite familiar with the availability of information for certain areas of Italy.
I am hoping. Just one more lead to follow up.
Thanks again.

Re: Family Travels
Why do I have to always have people who are from areas that have not been catalogued??????
My luck!
I'll check some other things now.
Thank you for reminding that I should always check FamilySearch first.

Licata civil records at FHL go from 1870 to 1900. =Peter=
Re: Family Travels
Thanks for the info Peter. When I went to the site and typed in the town name it came up with nothing. Should I have typed something else?
I have other areas I have need of record info so hopefully I can enter request for the information correctly.
Any suggestion would be great.

Re: Family Travels
Peter, based on your many recommendations through out the forum, I picked the referenced book up yesterday. I can certainly see how it can be very helpful.
Thank you again.
