Toschi

Post by laurel »

Hi

I am starting to reseach my Toschi family history. My grandfather was Arcangelo Toschi, born June 7, 1887 in Italy. Outisde of Lucca, I am told.
His mother was Teresa Lucchesi born in 1862. His father was Eusepio Toschi born in 1861. Euspeio's parents were Raymond (?) Toschi born in 1820 or 1821 and Agelina De Carlo also born 1820 or 1821.

If anyone has any information, I would really appreicate it.
Thanks
Laurel

In Italy the town of origin is the place for documents, history and civil records. If you do not know the town of origin then perhaps you can find it by going to the person who came from Italy, and if deceased, to the ellis island rteocrds and locate their arrival in the USA and find the town of origin for your family. You can also, and actually should start, by asking family members first.

There are 114 persons in the province of Lucca which consists of may towns and villages with persons having the Toschi surname. Go to www.paginebianche.it and insert Toschi in the first line and LU (for the province of Lucca) and clickCERCA for the entire listing of Toschi and the towns they reside in. Peter

Civil records for Porcari go back to 1866 so that if you goto the family history liobrary of the mormon church you can rent the microfilm of those civil records. You can also go to www.google.com and use the surname and the word Genealogy in the title for anyone doing research on yur family name. Peter
