lisagooley: Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I have found the SSDI for Cersia Ricci and also the ship manifest listing Nadi, but it listed her father as Enrico and not Massimo Ricci. After arriving in the US, the family went to West Hoboken, NY to stay with Eugenia Viviani. Do you have any more information that could shed some light on Massimo? Would appreciate anything you can tell me. Thanks, edanna

pink67: No wonder I couldn't find anything on Massimo Ricci. It never dawn on me that it could be another name that sounded like Ricci. Now I can continue and look for his immigration to the US in about 1920.

Thanks for your prompt reply and inforamtion. edanna

Edanna,

if you think the manifest posted by Lisagooley is correct, you have the Naturalizations marks on the names of your relatives....

Here is a bigger image:

I don't know if you already have but this is a very helpful guide:

pink67: Hi Laura, I think we may be talking about brothers and not cousins with Enrico being the elder by a year or so. Massimo was married to Cersia Ambrosi - posibble sister to Trieste Ambrosi. I have a copy of the manafest from Ellis Island and the only matches are the children's names, Eros & Nadi), ages (4 & 2), their birth place (Spezia. It.) and Enrico's birth place (Urugury). Incidentially, Nadi Ricci Calarco was a second cousin by marriage on my paternal side.

Thanks again for your prompt reply and help.

Carol
