looking for info on Joseph Fenico, Giuseppe Fenico
I have just received his Naturalization Papers -
states last residence as Savoi di Lucania, Potenza Italy
ship name Neustria from Naples, Italy to New York 5 June 1900.
His Birthday is 12 September 1884, Potenza Italy

Parents names from Marriage Lic: Mary Fiore and John Fenico
(as far as I know they remained in Italy)

Looking for ship, arrival info, birth info, any about Savoi di Lucania or his parents.

I already have marriage, death, children etc . looking for info on coming to US and any Italian Information - birth or anything on Parents, I don't know about any siblings

I have been searching for your relative without much luck. There are a couple of problems. The name of the town is Savoia di Lucania. Here is a link.

The Neustria arrived in NY on June 11,1900 and there was no passenger named Fenico. In fact if you check this site you will see that the last name Fenico does not exist in Italy.

The name might have been changed from something else. However, I did a search by town and was unable to find a name that was even close.

In fact, here are the only Fenicos who came through Ellis Island.

I have his marriage license and naturalization papers
his nat papers state name as Joseph Fenico and his signature is Guiseppe Fenico - The Natural. papers show the ship and date , I searched the manifest and didn't locate the name either.

I did the same searches and that is why I am asking here , I have been unable to find it.

re no Fenico's in italy ? the ships manifest had 5 other fenico surnames on it so I don't know.

I think mjones found the right manifest. This copy might be easier to read. It states that he is from Lucania.

That certainly matches the name , age , town !

I already had the WWI and WWII , but thanks for that one too...

I was looking at the manifest closer
the two people listed below Guiseppe Fenica
are also from Savoia di Lucania
and they all list the same address
206 Mott St " mother mary" on the 8 year old

The surname on the 25 year old is Fiore and that is Guiseppe's mother's last name - and Guiseppe said relative in usa is Uncle .... can't make it out ?

any guesses on what the surname says in the "relatives box "

Looks like it is "my" Joseph Fenico ... Don't know how I missed it 8O
