Looking for info: DiBlasio and Viola

Post by dferrizzi »

Looking for information on my Paternal Grandmother's parents.
Her name was Anna Ferrizzi Nee Diblasio. Her parents were Pasquale Diblasio and Santiana(sp) DiBlasio nee Viola.

My grandmother was born Feb 10th 1900, in Philadelphia, PA, but her parents were from Italy, maybe Rome, as I was always told. But, when I did some searching I couldn't find any info, not even a name on a ship's manifest list for when they came to the US.

I am going to Philadelpia today to try and find a birth certificate for Anna, hopefully that will tell me where her parents are from.

I would appreciate any information from anyone, or from any family member that has more info.

Thanks!
Info on : Ferrizzi, DiBlasio, Viola

Hi Biff!
Nice find on the manifest.
Found a possible 1920 census for a Pasquale & Mary in Phila in 1920, but
the childrens' names don't line up.
No luck on son Pasquale's WWI Card.
Nothing close on footnote for a naturalization...

Hi, Valarie :D !

Located Anna's marriage record on Family Search--surname spelled DeBlasio--with what appears to be some of her siblings. I'm wondering if brother Pasquale changed his name to Charles.

I'm guessing you're right about Charles changing his name :D .
There was at least one other DiBlasio family in Phila at the same time
in the Phila Directories on Footnote (Cherubino).

Hey Laura!
Great idea :D
I think Biff may have posted the list too.
It should help the poster if they recognize the spouses surnames.

Hey Laura!
The address sure is close to Biff's manifest find!
Wouldn't that be something if we could find the family & Pasquale's father in Phila in 1900!
