Belcastro

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Belcastro

Post by rciaccio »

I am trying to get a copy of my grandfather's birth certificate so as to obtain dual citizenship. He was born in Belcastro which is a commune of Catanzaro. My question is, should I send a letter to Belcastro or Catanzaro Ufficio dello Stato Civile? I have already sent a letter to Catanzaro but still have not received anything as of yet. Now I'm wondering if I sent it to the wrong office.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

Jcat,

Thanks for the quick response. What exact address would I use on that link? Sorry, if this is a stupid question.

you could address the request to:

Comune Di Belcastro
Piazza Poerio
C.A.P.88050
Provincia Di Catanzaro
Italy

I think they will get it

Your cute!....the normal response to a thank you is a rather casual word "prego" which literally translated means "no bother" or "my pleasure" which defies normal translation. =Peter=
