Id wanted a tattoo of a phoenix for many years. The phoenix is a bird symbol of rebirth. For me,a very important symbol. Just the idea of starting over again each day. After the 9/11 attacks in NYC,the idea of rebirth became all the more important to me,and so I got my phoenix tattoo on my lower right arm. Id drawn out what I wanted, but the tattoo artist who did the work truly went beyond what I expected. Its a beauty. Some day Id like to get another. A devil child! Before having work done, really think about whats so special to you that you want it truly a apart of you. And think of where you want it. Do you want everyone to see it,or just afew intimates. Some people have tattoos where they have to work with a mirror to see it them selves. Try and draw out what you want.Perhaps search books, magaizines, the internet for ideas. Most important, find a good artist! Check around ,or if you see someone with work you like, ask who did it. Tattoos can be costly. Thats something else to really think about. Whatever, before the works done, while its still something of an idea and drawing, besure its something that you like, and can easily live with-4ever!

I have the map of Italy tattooed onto my right arm - mainly due to my pride in being Italian but also as a 'you wont get me' response to the racism I face from certain 'elements' in Glasgow.

The tattoo is green/white/red and has tribal design in black around it. Its also a cover up of a tattoo I got before.

I have 10 tattoos in total and NOT considering stopping there! :D

Unfortunately there are still remnants of those perverse celtics who somehow managed to convince themselves that anything foreign is inferior. Mercifully they are fading fast and dying off in their stupors. =Peter=

In Scotland it is the 'Celts', regarded by Presbyterian Scots and Ulster Scots as Irish Catholics. This in their eyes makes them inferior ones. Sadly, its like I get 'it' off both sides. Not ALL are bad of course. However Italians are seen as a joke here and our 'soccer team' is detested to the point of increduality.

They are reacting to the truism that Italian virility is only exceeded by King Kong! =Peter=

Get the Italian flag with your last name above it, and 'Forza Italia" below the flag.

In my wanderings in South America where I was wont to be often flimsily dressed in my 4 wheeler I had a pair of ruby red lips pursed and at the ready tatooed on my upper left buttock in a very salacious manner requiring litle else except to stand upright while driving, =Peter=
